For the largest part of his professional career which extends to over 40 years, Marcus has specialised in property matters, both commercial and residential, and matters of high complexity. Marcus also has significant experience in general corporate and commercial work,

Marcus ran a successful sole practice in Petersfield for 14 years before merging with another local partnership in 2005. Between 2013 and 2020, Marcus was employed as an in-house solicitor to a group of companies involved in residential property development, instrumental in a rapid expansion of one of the companies within the group which acquired over 20 new development sites in four years with a further 22 under option or conditional contract and with an average of 75/80 plot sales a year. Marcus returned to private practice in 2020 following the sale of the group.

A member of Liphook Golf Club, Marcus also enjoys most other sports (although largely as a spectator now!), has a wide, if eclectic, taste in music and is infamous for his loud shirts.
