What is separating together?
You can now work jointly with one solicitor to find the solution that is right to you and your family. Your solicitor will work for both of you.
You will get the same legal advice, together.
Your solicitor will hear from both you.
The objective is to settle matters by agreement, together, helped by a specialist legal adviser who will also prepare the appropriate legally binding documentation. You will not usually have to go to court.
Whilst separating together is not suitable for all separating couples, if you want to work together amicably to solve your problems and are committed to finding a workable and fair outcome for you both, or for you as a family, you have a good footing for separating together.
Whatever your circumstances, we can help you. If it is not possible for you to separate together, we will work with you, and others as may be appropriate, to find the best way forward. There is every chance that you will still be able to settle matters by agreement.
